Our Pre-K Curriculum:
Wee Creations Preschool and Daycare offers children a quality, safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment. Wee Creations’ curriculum is based on the Foundations to the Indiana Academic Standards for Young Children from Birth to Age 5. Wee Creations offers state-of-the art classrooms, a full-sized gymnasium, a fenced-in play area, and many acres to explore.
The children in all of our classrooms are given the chance to explore and learn through their play. Centers such as dramatic play, blocks, music, science, writing, and library are regularly changed to keep the children interested. The children are engaged in sharing, taking turns, and communicating with others.
Although it may seem like fun and games to preschoolers, the curriculum we follow is packed with educational elements. Games abound that teach pre-reading skills like phonemic awareness (letter and sound recognition); basic math concepts; and hands-on science exploration. Gross motor skills and social skills are developed through both structured and unstructured play.
Our caring educators will provide many developmentally appropriate learning opportunities for your child to grow academically, socially, spiritually, and physically. At Wee Creations, all children will be exposed to and spend time exploring language, letters, numbers, and counting as part of their play and daily activities. Field trips, cooking activities, visits from community helpers and our pastors enrich the learning opportunities for our students and increase the fun! Themes are introduced throughout the year based on holidays, seasons, animals, books, and more. The interests of each group of children keep our theme ideas fresh and exciting!
Our Elementary (up to age 11) Curriculum:
School-age children are given a quiet environment for homework and projects. Also available to elementary students are crafts, games, snacks and physical activities.
